happy CNY!! hope everybody had a great time eating all the new year goodies as well as collecting ang baos.. more ang baos was collected this year as compared to the last though there was recession.. let's all work hard together and i'm sure this will be a great year ahead for us all.. =D
well, lost like 30 plus in mahjong on the first day but won back 20 plus on the 2nd day which is not bad.. but in the end black jack lost quite a bit and overall lost 15$.. alright, lost a bit ok la, most important thingy is that everybody had their fun and enjoyed themselves.. =)
this year, the theme is KUEH LAPIS!! i ate like 1 kg of them during the festive season.. and 1kg approximately = 67 thin slices.. courtesy from may who went to weigh 1 piece and see how much i ate.. the one my aunt made was damn good.. so good that i ate so much of that.. the pineapple tarts were not made this year but bought and they taste like crap.. bak kwa was not that great either.. the last time i ate a fabulous one was from jm's house.. that one was tender and juicy just like bacon.. since then, no other bak kwa tasted as good as that..
visited father's side granddad's place, mom's side grandmom's place.. some of mom's frens place.. this year quite a number of people got dogs!! my mom's friend got a husky.. dam shuai like a wolf.. my cousin got a toy poodle and it's very active and cute too..
catching up with cousins and relatives are fun until they ask those weird questions la.. like got gf le ma, study where, how ya get so big, army finished le ma, etc.. those are like redundant questions la!! boring..
class steamboat is damn fun as well.. with all the pics taking and catching up with each other on what was done at work and other stuffs.. ate at chin huat steamboat.. not too bad, it was the same stall at marina south with live crabs and prawns.. that place kinda closed down so i guessed they moved to the current place which was at novena..
work place also got lou hei.. nice of the company peeps to conduct a yu sheng activity to toss the flying fish slices as well as having other goodies in ushering the festive season.. and i am surprised surprised that i can chomp down so much of the food despite removing my wisdom tooth the day before.. kueh pie ti, popiah, curry chicken, bee hoon, kueh lapis (again!!), etc.. the removal of the tooth was a painless procedure and it costs only 60$.. fortunately never exceed 100$ =)
by the way, work is very fun and my mission is almost accomplished!!! haha!! feel so satisfied as i really felt valued and i contributed what i had to offer to the company..
all the best to one of my rugby buddies.. shawn, who's flying off to aussie to study.. all the best to ya, take care and meet up soon when ya get back.. i'm sure we'll all miss chong's funny short stories!! ha! xD
other than that.. getting to see her smile is just one of the next best thing that has ever happened to me.. =D
