olympic fever!! this might come as expired news but these are the highlights of the sports i've watched and they are just so nice!!! michael phelps broke the record of 8 golds plus his 6 golds in the 2004 olmpics, he've got a total of 14 golds in 2 olympics!! known to be the greatest olympian of all time.. well, he almost coudn't got one of the gold medals as the competition was so intense, he beat one of his opponents by a mere 0.01 second.. and the replay was so cool, the way he won it was just by a mere fingernail length..
next up was rafael nadal la.. his semi-final tennis match was so exciting.. he saved two deadly balls which seemed impossible to catch.. and he did it two times before the world no. 3 smacked the ball out and that handed the victory to nadal.. oh ya did i forget to mention, he de-throned roger federer as world no. 1.. kinda supported him since he was world no. 2 and always under the thumb of federer.. so glad he finally made it to be no. 1..
100m sprint was also nice.. usain bolt.. that guy is supeeer fast.. he beat his opponents by a big margin and he could still tap his country tag just before the finish line and guess what, he still broke the world record.. read from the news that his laces came off and that meant he could still go faster.. how cool is that??
argentina beat brazil 3-0 in soccer!! with lionel messi.. when you watch him, it's as if you're playing him on playstation.. damn good la.. they're going to the finals to face nigeria.. matches with argentina are just so nice.. brazil's era of dominating soccer is over~
other sports i watched included gymnastics, weight-lifting and pole vault.. also quite nice.. seems like i really spent quite some time on the tv.. but actually i was doing work and watching at the same time.. my test was like... i knew how to do most questions but some questions were kinda cheem.. i tried my best la so whatever results i get, i'll be happy but they say never count in the marks.. so for the past weekend, i was just like studying for fun.. =/
my life now is just like a stuck toilet bowl.. the sai just never seems to finish.. before i can flush the sai away, more new sai come in and it just piles up, up and up until the toilet bowl become overfilled with sai, becoming damn filthy and smelly.. SIAN man!! fortunately, i'm slowly un-stucking the toilet bowl and removing all the sai.. this month coming to an end soon!! heard they wanna tekan us for the first month so we won't slacken.. getting the hang of it though..
time to go eat, play, shopping, soccer and stuffs this weekend~ yay!! but still need to clear up some sai.. the reports.. =x
school has started!! it was kinda fun at first until all the work and projects kept piling up like waste generated at the incineration plants.. in addition to that, i've got a professor whom i don't understand what he's saying.. well, i can get his 'kiwi' new zealand accent as i've watched soccer and rugby matches whose commentaries were also spoken like how he was speaking.. however, i just don't understand what is he teaching..
i know he's knowleageable, i mean VERY knowleagable and he knows almost everything foodie under the sun.. he's quite a nice and funny lecturer but i guess i can't get used to the style how caucasians give their lectures.. too used to lecturers in singapore who'll go with the slides and give tips, etc.. time to change a mindset and embrace a new method for learning.. problem based learning which inculcates thinking.. hope i'll get used to this new type of teaching method from overseas..
last week was hell for me.. after not studying for so long.. 24 hours never seems to be enough.. sometimes i wonder if i'm just stupid or too dumb to understand the work.. i know these coming 2 years would not be a easy one.. but i shall perservere on.. i'm seeing some bit of improvement though work is still piling up after 1 week of school..
thanks to BBF, yeting and also Jen for listening to my rants and my craps about school.. need to release the energy some way or another if not my body will explode like some processing system due to unreleased pressure.. and i'm so starting to write, speak and think like a technical person.. that's like so 'technologist'.. =/
to pull me through lessons, i will think about how sucky army life was and now i'm so fortunate to be in class, to do what i want although that's plenty of unfinished work.. looking at the big picture now, getting a degree is so different from poly days.. TOTALLY different!!
been living like a hermit for the past week.. stayed at home most of the time to study and do reports.. i really don't want to turn into a geek whose life revolves around school and work.. so save me by asking me out to eat, play, etc.. although i might not go due to the overload of work but it will really make my day by just a simple gesture of asking.. =)
other than that, i would ask myself what motivates me?? then i would start to think of my parents toiling to put me through school, the quite high expectations from my teachers and various shi-fus from my previous work place, matt who was my role model whom i'm always trying to reach or even try to surpass him though he still seems so far away from my grasp.. and lastly, not forgetting
