meetup with primary school peeps was kinda.. hm.. how shall i put it.. nice, relaxed, warm and also funny!! it wasn't awkward at all, to my surprise~ though we all went to different places after primary school but it was still nice seeing all my pri school peeps..

we reminisced about our so called childhood memories.. the beloved teachers.. the peeps that we do not like, best buddies and all those childish and funny stuff that we did.. tak yam brought his autograph book!! it was filled with so many awesome pictures!!

and we all saw what we wrote in tak yam's book 11 years back.. it was kinda funny looking back where we do all the funny stuffs.. and 1 classic pic had kok leong when he was damn huge in pri school.. tak yam added a comment on the pic which was something like the big and mighty kok leong.. that was super uber funny..

so glad to be able to keep in contact with a number of pri school friends.. they really meant a lot to me as we came from such a long, long way back to be re-united.. and guess what.. we're gonna have a BIGGER and BETTER pri school gathering with MORE peeps that we haven't seen for years.. that is gonna be interesting!! =)

some funny stuff happened at work.. one of my shi-fus at my work place, dreamt of my 2 juniors and as well as me hiking near bukit timah hill with our girlfriends near her house.. she said to my other shi-fus that it was a total nightmare to dream of the boys!! lolx.. we asked her if she remembered what the girls looked like but she said can't remember just that they are less taller than the 3 of us.. alamak, if not we'll know who our future girlfriends are.. i guess she must be thinking of us a lot, that's why she dreamt of us.. =p

went to get bel's pressie on sunday.. played pool and go sing kbox.. played like shit and sung like shit as well.. pool is just too boring for me.. too slow paced.. too no-adrenaline.. unlike soccer and rugby.. ya gotta prevent opponents from getting your ball as well as getting their ball away from them.. much more adrenaline.. and adrenaline turned out to be more addictive than drugs, i tell ya..

k box was more fun though.. i was reminded of my poly days where my classmates would be all

crazy singing, singing and having fun.. i really enjoyed myself though..

yesterday, was a advanced b'dae dinner and a belated b'dae dinner for isabel at sushi tei.. thanks for eveything to the girls and guys.. i love the pressie and the cakes a lot.. pics will come soon though.. =)

alright, can really smell the start of school.. just 1 more week!! gotta miss my work place where i get to cook and bake all day long.. =/ and i'm just informed that we all gotta wear formal and there's some dumb opening ceremony for my degree course.. must be for the big shots to parade or something.. i don't like ceremonies as they are so ever serious, boring and so un-fun.. and i thought i could go back to school with a big bang.. in my slippers, bermudas and singlet.. sighz.. however, still so glad to be going back to school.. =)

work was damn fun as usual and i get to make so many different food products.. well, came across this pic and i found it kinda amusing..

the artist incorporated the incredible hulk in it.. taken from the sunday times 2 weeks' back..

i see all the hype about being green as our world faces global warming and other environmental issues as well.. i know when some people are helping the environment, sometimes they might be actually doing more harm than good.. like the live-earth concert last year, they are creating public awareness on the issues of being green and the terrible effects of global warming.. but did they know that the 24 hour concerts around the world are actually not 'green' and they are in fact polluting the earth due to the electricity used and by the exhaust fumes of planes which the performers flew in when they travel around..

all i can say that it's all a grey region actually.. some peeps might think it's dumb to protect the environment and you'll be labelled as a tree hugger or captain planet but i feel every bit counts.. so no matter how small, we should all play a small part.. even we cannot prevent, we should at least try to reduce.. education is the key to success.. so we should spread the word around and parents nowadays should educate kids about these issues and i'm sure they'll turn out to be much more environmental-friendly peeps in the near future..

celebrated matt's advance birthday last sat at the decoders cafe.. damn fun la.. i'll get to that soon.. it's like a 15 minute walk from newton mrt to a balmoral plaza.. it's like settlers and minds cafe but it's better la.. their packages seems better and more value for money.. in addition you can see people at other tables do their forfeits.. HAHA!

first game we played was some monkey game where we gotta pull out sticks but also to prevent monkeys from dropping at the same time.. the monkeys that dropped will go to the person who pull the sticks.. the loser is the person who collects the most monkeys..

however, i seem to get the last laugh in the end!! =D

alright.. in the end i am the ultimate loser and i've gotta do a forfeit.. the place has a jar full of weird and funny forfeits for people to pick and this makes it a lot more fun!! so off i went to draw my first forfeit and this is what i drew..

sirong- pick 2 more forfeit cards!! (this 1 is suay but in the end the 2 i picked was to get somebody to smack his ass and i forgot the 2nd one but it's easy la..)

some updates few weeks back.. jen's b'dae celebration at waraku.. i've always wanted to eat there but the queue was super uber long and it was also the first time i ate their pasta.. it was not so bad, not so spectacular and i feel it's kinda overpriced..

went to play pick up sticks after that at the chocolate place and the sticks were given to the b'dae girl by the manager.. good service there.. later on, went to clarke quay to drink next.. called the arena.. what a weird place that was.. a lot of ang mohs, old aunties, people with poodle looking hair dacing like crazy and i dunno what.. =/ but they offer lychee martinis as their free drinks on ladies night so it's kinda worth for the ladies..

what a week~ time really flies when you are having fun.. especially at my workplace and i'm sure i'm gonna miss that place.. 2 & 1/2 weeks before school starts!! =)

sometimes, have you wondered what your childhood dream was?? relating to my entry before the last one, the dying professor who gave a talk.. i thought back what my childhood dream was.. and it was to be carefree and getting to play soccer everyday.. it was kinda amusing to have such a dream but kids have big dreams so never deny kids their space for imagination for their humongous dreams..

to be specific.. my childhood dream was to be a soccer player.. to be the best goalkeeper around or to be the top prolific striker and score many, many goals.. the feeling of being a goalkeeper is just great.. so exciting, thrilling and you get to fly in those short moments stopping shots.. however, people often neglect the keeper.. he'll be the hero if he saves the goals but if the opponent scores, he'll be labelled as the zero.. but did they not know that often it was the defenders who were supposed to protect the goalkeeper that cause him to let in the goal though he attempted to prevent the opponent from scoring??

secondly, it is easy to fathom why i like being the striker.. it gives a sense of satisfaction.. all the attention is upon you when you score though it was a team effort that produced the goal.. and people remember you for it.. who remembers who saves the most goals?? people only remember who scores the most goals and we all know it's Pele la..

though childhood dreams are very hard to achieve, we should never stop.. like me, though i know it's kinda hard to be a professional soccer player 'cause those pros start training young.. so i try to 'realise' the childhood dream of mine in another way.. by playing soccer for leisure every sunday.. not playing as a striker nor a goalkeeper but as a midfielder that creates goal for people to score.. much, much more satisfying than saving goals and scoring goals.. =)

ok, i just sucked at it.. supposed to swing front and the golf ball will be hit but when i play it only hits when i swing back.. i just don't know why.. maybe i was so afraid i might fling the controller off the building because too much strength was used so i kinda controlled the force and it just went haywire.. in the end, jen was 1st, jm 2nd and bee 3rd while i took the most strokes to finish the holes and i got last place as seen above..

i know this might come as late news but spain are the european champs of 2008.. they totally deserve to win after not being in any cup final for like over 40 years.. they played pretty well.. the solid defence, creative midfield and the lethal strike force up front.. i actually would anticipate a spain and portugal final but the portuguese were knocked out by the germans after tabloids of their coach going to another team as well as Cristiano Ronaldo's transfer saga to real madrid.. at least 1 of the 2 teams which i support won la.. =p

time passes damn fast la.. before you know it, the week has come to an end.. working in firc for almost 3 weeks le.. learnt a lot from all the peeps there.. and i'm still having fun there.. most importantly, i don't feel like as if i'm working at all.. =D

watched a couple of movies with the girls this week.. driving lesson is stupid and boring show.. typical arts film.. don't mess with the zohan was funny though.. tickled me tremendously.. go and catch it..

got a lot of pics but i haven't got them yet so shall post later.. 1 more month before school reopens.. can't wait..

anyway, i just feel like some stuffs are so hard to forget and holding on might not seem like a wise decision but sometimes following our heart rather than the brain is the more rational choice.
