just felt like sharing this with everybody.. this professor gave a very inspiring lecture although he knows that he's gonna die.. should watch this.. it may change the perspective how you look at your life..
watch it at here..
what i've learnt..
-when you're doing something bad and somebody points it out to ya, it meant that he/she cares..
-brick walls are there for a reason: to let us prove how badly we want things..
- a car or any wordly possesion is just a thing.. your loved ones are much, much more important..
-Never underestimate the importance of having fun..
-tell the truth..
-wait and people will show their good side.. (like what i've always said, patience is virtue)
-lead life the right way and nature will take its own course and your dreams will come to ya.
like what i've always said.. inspire somebody today!!
guess what?? i won't be flying to australia to study afterall.. will be continuing school for the next 2 years in massey university at SP campus.. i thought it would be kinda hard to get in but me n yh managed to squeeze in and guess we won't be flying to aussie anymore.. however, we're in the pioneer batch and that means we get to become guinea pigs (again!!) i was also from the pioneer batch of the new age mortarian vehicle.. so sometimes i wonder it's a golden ticket i got or i've just missed a great chance to go to the outback to study and live independantly.. nevertheless i will continue to strive and get good results..
alright, the night before the interview was kinda like a war zone.. actually i didn't prepare much for the interview but my pals told me i'd better go prepare and learn how to answer some questions such as 'tell me more about yourself', 'why should we accept you?', etc.. and i had a marathon on the next day so wanted to sleep early but i practised til kinda late and this is how the interview went..
me: good afternoon, sir!
Interviewer: good afternoon, did you bring your ic?
me: i did, which one you all want.. pink one or green one?? (and i showed it to him)
Interviewer : 'Laughs out Loud', how come you got two ic?
me: one is army one the other is the real one, which one do you require??
Interviewer: we'll have the one similar to the photocopy you sent to us
(yh say i'm mad.. come out this kind of stunt in the interview..)
*interview continues*
Interviewer: so what you doing now? finished army??
me: finished army and now dipping army uniforms into pesticideas as a part time job for my uncle..
Interviewer: won't that kill the people that wear them.. *chuckles*
me: Haha, don't think will kill them..
Interviewer: so what you do for your 4th year fyp?? (i only study for 3 years leh??)
me: i did a project which was on high fibre puff pastries and it's a nice project to work on as we can formulate a product as well as improve the nutritional value of the food without compromising taste and texture.. anyway fibre is also the top 3 health foods sought by consumers.. so we though it would be fun to carry out a R & D project just like the one i did.
Interviewer: okay, would you be happy if i told you, you've got a placing??
Me: OMG, yea!!
Interviewer: you've got in and our package will be sent to you next week and have a great day ahead..
me: thanks, you have a great day too..
the content was something like that.. weird but funny.. i don't know if that was considered an interview or not but i made it nonetheless
previously mentioned about the marathon before the interview.. the run was kinda arduous.. i know it's only 10km.. no kick to some.. but it was kinda siong because you will need to run all the way up to the tip of mount faber.. i think 2 to 3 km worth of slope.. when i was about to finish near the 8km distance, can really feel the shagged effect.. i know no big deal but i finished it approximately 1 hour or 1 hour 3 minutes, forgot the exact time but it was near that.. considering me dipping uniforms for the past week and i never trained for the run, i feel the timing was satisfactory.. i got to see more scenery around the place i lived which i've never seen before and it's kinda worth the money as i got to know more about my place.. and my number tag 1539 came out consolation on sunday's 4d.. actually wanted to buy as it's like the first marathon i signed up for but in the end never buy because that day i was kinda tired and i needed to go back to prepare for interview.. in the end, the other 4d obsessed fellow (dad) in the family saw our numbers and bought them.. no wonder, he so happy.. i'll take it as contributing as a Father's Day pressie..
no more of washing digging equipments and dipping of uniforms.. will miss the jobbie.. i resigned as my teacher asked me to go back school help her to do projects.. and i really enjoy doing all the stuff in the food laboratory and being a food technologist is really fun afterall.. it'll be useful to me when i get back to school in future.. the 2 years in army made me kinda stupid, i feel.. i take a longer time to learn but i'm beginning to absorb and it's all slowly coming back to me.. Moreover, the people there are damn nice and the working environment is great too.. really thankful to my teacher for giving me the chance to refresh and learn new stuffs.. i really am utmost grateful.
some bad news here.. july the 7th 2 years back was the day i enlisted army and this year, july 7th, we've got more ERP gantries being set up.. R.I.P to the pockets of drivers in singapore.. price hikes are really the last things we need here.
some pics..

watched kransky sisters with the gals at esplanade.

matt's piano performance at NUS.. he played that chopin don't know what sonata .. looks kinda tough to play..
wa, wear same clothes in the pics though it was taken on different days.. so coincidental.. by the way, i'm so enjoying work before i start school.. it really feels damn good to be back in school!!

finally found a job!! currently working for my uncle in some army logistics place .. washing changkols, spades, baskets and various digging equipments.. other than that, still got soaking of army uniforms in those pesticide liquid.. ok la, same old army stuff.. i know a bit bangla but it's kinda fun and time passes quickly also.. pay also not bad.. then need to hang those clothes up to dry in the sun.. but when rain comes, we'll all be scrambling to take in the clothes..
i will also be able to go around bah long long in my singlet, shorts and flops.. and also get to laugh at those army peeps who have not yet ORD.. =p and you get kinda dirty doing all that kind of work.. but getting dirty is fun nevertheless!! =D okay, people might think i am crazy, liking such a tough and dirty job but it's really more enjoyable to do than those office ones whereby time passes like damn slowly..
R.I.P to the old car toyota corolla 8659.. my dad changed a new one.. to a corolla altis.. the orlando bloom 1.. slightly newer and bigger but harder to drive la.. the steering wheel is like damn light to turn unlike the old one.. the brake and accelration pedal also damn tough to step on.. haiz.. kinda missed the old car which brought me to quite a number of place and it's the first car i drove after i passed the driving test.. now want to borrow car a bit harder because my dad will be scared of this and that as it's his new little baby and need to re-learn to park with this car.. i only learned parking halfway from the old car..
caught the kransky sisters the previous week with the girls at the esplanade.. ok, their jokes are kinda amusing but some of their jokes, i can't get what they saying.. maybe it's just some ang moh australian jokes la.. but their singing is damn powerful.. 3 lao char bohs or rather middle aged women having such a good control over their powerful voices is really remarkable.. and the musical instruments they used are so cool.. one which was a saw.. yea, ya heard me right.. a saw and the stick used to strum a violin to make an eerie tune.. they also disliked boys as they feel they are dirty, smelly and full of germs and it would be bad to be marked by them.. haha.. lastly, not forgetting their thick make up with dark eye shadow and red lipstick.. so gothic and scary!! their grotesque appearance still leaves a deep impression.. =/
last week, i got kinda sick.. don't know what happened.. must be some wrong stuff i ate.. puke n laosai, laosai and puke.. back to back sia.. went to see doc and i was as good as before the day after.. either the doc's medicine was very good or i got super healing powers like wolverine.. =D
caught 2 movies this week.. narnia: prince caspian and kung fu panda.. both shows are good.. go and catch it.. the girls will surely drool at the sight of the prince caspian la.. but i feel he's crap!! don't know how to fight, only know how to run, have dark rings and almost caused the white witch to be freed again.. i think Aslan the lion better than the caspian la.. he's a talking lion, possesses great powers and more cool looking.. =)
kung fu panda was damn funny la.. fat panda don't know martial arts but he loves food so his master taught him using the 'food' way.. watch and you will get what i mean.. in the end he defeated the bad snow cat by using tai chi la.. i feel it's like tai chi.. countering the opponents' moves by unleashing their strength back onto them.. also learnt an important lesson here.. gotta believe in yourself.. when Po, the panda was destined to be the dragon warrior, he got the dragon scroll to learn the secret martial arts inside.. however, the scroll was blank and it only showed the reflection of himself.. so the secret formula of the greatest martial arts in that case is to believe in oneself as it is in us all along.. if we choose to believe in ourselves, we can attain greatness!!
yay, i'm shortlisted to be interviewed by the massey uni peeps!! though rejected by nus and ntu.. the interview's requirement is that they wanted me to talk about my fyp the other time.. gotta read up on my curry puff project lo.. hope i can get in after the interview!! i believe in myself and i know i can nail this one. =D
