guess what?? i won't be flying to australia to study afterall.. will be continuing school for the next 2 years in massey university at SP campus.. i thought it would be kinda hard to get in but me n yh managed to squeeze in and guess we won't be flying to aussie anymore.. however, we're in the pioneer batch and that means we get to become guinea pigs (again!!) i was also from the pioneer batch of the new age mortarian vehicle.. so sometimes i wonder it's a golden ticket i got or i've just missed a great chance to go to the outback to study and live independantly.. nevertheless i will continue to strive and get good results..
alright, the night before the interview was kinda like a war zone.. actually i didn't prepare much for the interview but my pals told me i'd better go prepare and learn how to answer some questions such as 'tell me more about yourself', 'why should we accept you?', etc.. and i had a marathon on the next day so wanted to sleep early but i practised til kinda late and this is how the interview went..
me: good afternoon, sir!
Interviewer: good afternoon, did you bring your ic?
me: i did, which one you all want.. pink one or green one?? (and i showed it to him)
Interviewer : 'Laughs out Loud', how come you got two ic?
me: one is army one the other is the real one, which one do you require??
Interviewer: we'll have the one similar to the photocopy you sent to us
(yh say i'm mad.. come out this kind of stunt in the interview..)
*interview continues*
Interviewer: so what you doing now? finished army??
me: finished army and now dipping army uniforms into pesticideas as a part time job for my uncle..
Interviewer: won't that kill the people that wear them.. *chuckles*
me: Haha, don't think will kill them..
Interviewer: so what you do for your 4th year fyp?? (i only study for 3 years leh??)
me: i did a project which was on high fibre puff pastries and it's a nice project to work on as we can formulate a product as well as improve the nutritional value of the food without compromising taste and texture.. anyway fibre is also the top 3 health foods sought by consumers.. so we though it would be fun to carry out a R & D project just like the one i did.
Interviewer: okay, would you be happy if i told you, you've got a placing??
Me: OMG, yea!!
Interviewer: you've got in and our package will be sent to you next week and have a great day ahead..
me: thanks, you have a great day too..
the content was something like that.. weird but funny.. i don't know if that was considered an interview or not but i made it nonetheless
previously mentioned about the marathon before the interview.. the run was kinda arduous.. i know it's only 10km.. no kick to some.. but it was kinda siong because you will need to run all the way up to the tip of mount faber.. i think 2 to 3 km worth of slope.. when i was about to finish near the 8km distance, can really feel the shagged effect.. i know no big deal but i finished it approximately 1 hour or 1 hour 3 minutes, forgot the exact time but it was near that.. considering me dipping uniforms for the past week and i never trained for the run, i feel the timing was satisfactory.. i got to see more scenery around the place i lived which i've never seen before and it's kinda worth the money as i got to know more about my place.. and my number tag 1539 came out consolation on sunday's 4d.. actually wanted to buy as it's like the first marathon i signed up for but in the end never buy because that day i was kinda tired and i needed to go back to prepare for interview.. in the end, the other 4d obsessed fellow (dad) in the family saw our numbers and bought them.. no wonder, he so happy.. i'll take it as contributing as a Father's Day pressie..
no more of washing digging equipments and dipping of uniforms.. will miss the jobbie.. i resigned as my teacher asked me to go back school help her to do projects.. and i really enjoy doing all the stuff in the food laboratory and being a food technologist is really fun afterall.. it'll be useful to me when i get back to school in future.. the 2 years in army made me kinda stupid, i feel.. i take a longer time to learn but i'm beginning to absorb and it's all slowly coming back to me.. Moreover, the people there are damn nice and the working environment is great too.. really thankful to my teacher for giving me the chance to refresh and learn new stuffs.. i really am utmost grateful.
some bad news here.. july the 7th 2 years back was the day i enlisted army and this year, july 7th, we've got more ERP gantries being set up.. R.I.P to the pockets of drivers in singapore.. price hikes are really the last things we need here.
some pics..

watched kransky sisters with the gals at esplanade.

matt's piano performance at NUS.. he played that chopin don't know what sonata .. looks kinda tough to play..
wa, wear same clothes in the pics though it was taken on different days.. so coincidental.. by the way, i'm so enjoying work before i start school.. it really feels damn good to be back in school!!
