What a match!! the champions league finals between chelsea and manchester united was so exciting.. kept me on my toes all the way.. and i was praying for man utd to win all the time.. and they triumped victorious!! now they are the kings or rather winners of not just england but also the whole of europe after winning the champions league trophy..

man utd dominated the first half of the game and they scored one through ronaldo.. could scoreed a few more but the chelsea keeper, cech was dam good to keep the strikers at bay.. unfortunately, chelsea equalised near half time due to the confusion between defenders of a deflected shot and also the united keeper van der sar slipping while trying to save that goal..

2nd half was dominated by chelsea though.. they kinda woke up and were more in the attacking mood.. they had 2 shots that hit the goalpost but man utd was lucky not to concede those goals la.. soon, the match led to extra time after both sides refused to budge..
2 halves of extra time at 15 minutes each.. no goals still.. both sides almost nailed it at extra time but the score was still 1-1.. however some shit happened though.. chelsea striker, drogba got a red card after slapping a man utd defender.. that was a dumb move la.. and the morale of the chelsea players kinda dropped.. no score in extra time meant it was the penalties next!!
i never liked to watch penalties.. it's like you're deciding the winner by luck and i feel it's kinda unfair to both sides as both already gave their all for their respective teams but football's like that.. you will need the smile of lady luck to win.. and guess lady luck was on man utd's side..
2 penalties to chelsea and man utd scored and here comes the turning point.. ronaldo missed the 3rd penalty.. i thought everything was over but it happened otherwise.. when it was the chelsea captain's turn to take the 5th and last penalty, he kinda slipped and the ball hit the post.. instead of helping chelsea to lift the cup, he gave man utd a chance to redeem themselves.. so both sides missed one penalty each so whoever misses a penalty next will hand the trophy to the othr side.. in the end chelsea missed the 6th penalty and man utd was victorious!!

all i can say it's that man utd have the devils' luck la.. they always do!! in those big competitions, they're always the luckier ones.. other than that, i think it's fate also la.. this year is also man utd's 50th death anniversary for those that died on the plane crash in munich at 1958.. maybe the legends were watching over the man utd lads.. and another lesson learnt.. that is money can't buy everything.. in the example of chelsea, all or most of their players were bought instead of developed and trained from the junior team la.. and their players were like so attitude, full of themselves and egoistic.. that's what happens when you put a group of super stars together la.. and they don't have the team spirit la.. drogba and ballack were quarelling about who to take a free kick the other time they played against man utd.. unlike, man utd, whose team spirit was so immense and as if they were playing for the team mate shoulder to shoulder beside one another..
once again, congrats to man utd for being crowned champions of england and also europe!! =D
