this week was just army half marathon preparation.. dam suay.. kena the bag deposit point.. 12,000 bags to jagah.. and the space given is like kinda small.. the yellow sector at the floating platform.. luckily captain jacky thought of joining six 5-tonners and tied nylon strings to hook on the bags.. i was in charge of making the tags..
i made all the tags in one day but on that thursday, they say the numbers made were wrong.. not that i typed wrongly but safra gave the wrong numbers.. and i gotta re-do everything.. well.. i need to think out the number ranges, laminate, cut into small pieces and punch holes.. the worst saikang one can ever get.. luckily got laminate.. can re write everything on the other side with permanent marker..
everything went well on the day itself except for the time people came to collect bags.. rowdy and ugly singapore people.. some even spewed vulgarities and screamed for their bags.. we actually opened two lanes for the collection but they all chionged for the other lanes and all 8 lanes were jammed to the max..
i know there are number tags i made to guide people to finding the bags.. but there are some peeps who brought such big bags that it overlapped to the other bags.. how to find?? 12,000 bags.. i thought they were reminded not to bring such big bags.. why they still bring?? racked so much brains from the planning and then run up and down to find peoples' bags.. instead of appreciation, we got scoldings and kaobei-ing from the people.. really can't take it lying down.. why not they put themselves in our shoes and come and do the bag deposit point?? i think people won't come up with such a brilliant plan because the space given is so, so limited.. i know some of the men put the bags at the wrong tags but because, the budget given was 0, i can't make colour tags.. if not it will be much better..
however, captain jacky was very encouraging.. he said whatever don't kill us will make us stronger.. actually he's the one who got all the scoldings and shit form the public at the counter.. we were just exhausted physically from all the searchings and stuffs.. he also helped out in the searchings of course.. really liked working with him.. he's like so open with other people's ideas.. he's so funny, full of ideas, witty and not mentioning a welfare person.. he's gonna be my oc this december.. look forward to working with him again~
the whole crowd only cleared out at 11am.. didn't sleep the entire night.. reported on 11pm plus the night before, went out to eat.. captain jacky's treat at xin wang.. 3plus the people come put bags.. 7am came to collect bags til 11am.. 4 bleedy hours of frantic search and i dare say it's more siong than my operations or what i usually do as a mortarian.. damn exhausted lo.. i can even sleep when 3 people are in conversation with me, when i'm standing and when i seeing people play arcade games.. that's HOW shagged i am.. come to think of it, i take it as a challenge and we all overcame the shit and we are stronger than the time before we did the bag deposit point.. that's the important thingy, we all experience some new hell and learn something valuable..

well, the week after the national day week was kinda slow paced because of too much rest the previous week.. csm not around due to a course selection.. so everyone was kinda glad and things slowed down but we still did work that was assigned to us..
it was a duty week for me.. was so nervous cause there's a new thingy called the guard mounting drill.. fortunately, i managed to learn it well and all was okay.. the time during guard duty passed so, so slowly.. but it was better than doing the weekends one whereby it's 24hours.. =/
after that it was a stand by area from CO himself.. never expected the biggest boss of our battalion to check our area.. all was well, except the scouts did not lock their cupboards and punishment awaits them when they return from taiwan..
had soc on wednesday.. failed it with a timing of 12 min plus.. long time never run le.. haha.. but actually fail is not about the running but i couldn't do the low rope (again!!) so the fighting spirit just died off without me trying my best for the various stations.. or maybe my recovering pinky is getting in my way.. haha.. nevertheless, i'll pass next week..
duty again on thurs.. cos.. look after office and stuff.. very afraid the people will come and check our place.. if errors were spotted, the cos will get punishment.. fortunately, nobody came on that night and i got a good night's sleep.. there was also a mock close combat grading.. passed it and there was the real deal tomorrow..
passed it and no more of breaking falls, locks and slamming people around.. though the pugil fighting was kinda fun.. with all the padding and helmet and the sponge pugil stick to smack the shit outta your opponent..
followed by a 8km run before we go outta camp.. haha.. speaking of slack.. this ain't that slack a week.. actually, it seems kinda packed.. ahaha.. seeing my weekend again only meant rest and not much of a big deal.. my weekends are well, kinda worthless..
and those whom are telling me to take up a new religion, i will say balls to you.. because i truly believe in my own beliefs.. that is
I believe in
-being happy
-being thankful
-being caring to people
-being nice to people
-being helpful to people in whatever ways we can
-Forgive but don't forget (lest people screw you up a 2nd time)
-making things happen rather than waiting for things to happen
-giving in your Best
-avoid vices if possible (because nobody is perfect)
-Love and care for friends and family
Period.

the past week had been my b'dae celebration followed by jon's on 30th.. though the rain kept coming to disrupt our bbq but we managed to cook all the food.. the chalet was held in sentosa.. almost couldn't make it back in camp.. luckily reached the gate at 1155pm.. phew.. if not we'll be locked out.. never came back so late before.. but just hoped that he enjoyed the bbq..
cut my pinky on the next day while moving one of the oil drum barrel.. quite a deep cut.. blood dripped and trickled down my arm.. i just washed with the water cooler and found some tissue to stop the bleeding.. went to the medical centre and waited for more than half hour before the doctor came to clean the wound.. it was deep but not so deep.. however, the wound was wide so it required some stitching.. 4 stitches.. not that painful actually though there were some medics and 2 fellow specialists watching.. i didn't grimace in pain but they looked as if they were the ones getting the stitches done and they just covered their eyes when the mini procedure was carried out.. maybe the hook used to stitch was kinda sharp.. and i just removed my stitches today.. though there will be some scarring..
met up with yeting and jianming for dinner last sunday.. fun!! please meet up again.. and thanks for the pressie from yeting.. like it a LOT~
had a soccer selection today.. quite fun to play in the field.. though it's quite a pain in the ass to run more and hard to do tricks on the field..
tomorrow's national day parade.. time to become toilet guard for the last time.. haha.. long weekend.. fri, sat and sun.. WOOooo~
