went to discuss about teaching of tuition with some pals of mine yesterday.. i think i'll most probably be teaching primary school science because i have the passion in science and science is fun i guess.. haha.. saw michelle chia at wisma.. looks the same as telly.. as pretty and elegant of course but she's shorter than i thought.. haha.. bought a we are family shirt.. looks kinda childish la with some lumps of potato heads at the front coloured with the colours of the rainbow.. i still like it no matter what.. my pay is frozen at the moment.. can't claim it til the 5th of june comes.. sighz.. i wanna get that portugeuese jersey soon before the price increases again.. =/
well, today was an alright day for me.. went to the dentist early in the morning la.. had my teeth cleaned for like dunno 8 years.. oh yes.. my teeth should be rotten by now.. but fortunately there weren't much major problems in my teeth.. my teeth were alright.. 0 tooth decay but there's 2 cavities to fill up.. my gums were a bit swollen too and the dentist said it'll be alright after a few weeks when i can brusth my teeth the right way.. so glad my teeth are okay.. after not visiting the dentist since primary school time.. 3 out of my 4 wisdom teeth are out and they are growing straight in the right direction so there's no trouble with them either.. actually everyone should go visit once every 6 months because sometimes teeth problems can be fatal to health.. i am dead serious about this..
went to marinate chicken wings for wanyang's BBQ (again, again, again and again!!) this sat.. used oyster sauce, soya sauce, sugar, sesame oil, chicken stock powder.. they smell great but i hope they won't rot after i keep it in the refrigerator til saturday.. haha..
headed down to training after that.. great to see a number of seniors that came down.. trained with the juniors and the other team mates.. a buah duku on my back of my head after colliding head on with another guy.. landed on my left shoulder and it's kinda sore.. time to heal injuries again.. haha.. rainy weather causes the pitch to be slippery and there will definitely be higher chances of accidents thus leading to unnecessary injuries.. who cares about that?? it''s about the fun we get.. =)
this is for one of my xiao meis who's kinda troubled recently.. i am sure things wil turn for the better.. hope this can enlighten you a bit.. =)
Mistakes are actually feedback on how we are doing. Winners make much more mistakes than losers and that is why they are winners. They are getting more feedback due to the mistakes as they continue to try more possibilities.
We learn far more from our losses than we do from our victories. When we lose, we contemplate, analyse, regroup and plan a new strategy. But when we win too often, we simply celebrate and learn very little. And that is another reason to welcome errors.
The story of Thomas Edison is legendary, where a particular gentleman inquired of the inventor how it felt to have failed so many times in his effort to produce an electric light bulb. Edison replied that he had not failed at all, but rather had successfully found thousands of ways how to NOT make a light bulb! That kind of healthy attitude toward mistakes enabled Edison to make contribution to the world which rivals that to almost anyone in history.
The man who founded I.B.M Thomas J. Watson said "The way to success is to double your failure rate."

In all, what i'm trying to say is that mistakes aren't really mistakes. Let's expect to make some errors in judement and welcome them as part of the learning process. Also, if we don't take ourselves too seriously, it is a whole lot easier to live with a few mistakes. The shame is never in having failed but the shame is only in not having tried.
